Join us with RonnieMan’s mother and dear fighter, Dorothy Holmes, for the First Annual RonnieMan Back to School Supply Drive! This drive will culminate in a Back-to-School party in Healing Village at 63rd & Greenwood, on August 26th, where we will give away all of the supplies collected

Come out and meet Dorothy Holmes, whose son Ronald Johnson was shot in the back by CPD in 2014, leaving behind 5 children. As a member of Justice for Families and a co-plaintiff on the Campbell Consent Decree, Dorothy is a leader in the fight for police accountability, resources for our communities, safe public spaces, and in building bonds of mutual support with other families impacted by gun violence of all kinds.
June 17, 2018 – Remember Me: Father’s Day BBQ!
It’s time for the annual Father’s Day cookout in honor of Ronald Johnson, father of 5 gunned down by police in Washington Park, and in honor of all the fathers who were taken from their families by police violence and the criminal in-justice system.
December 14, 2017 – Holiday Blues, Holiday Cheer: RonnieMan’s Birthday
The holidays are often a time of emotional difficulty and loneliness. We want to honor that struggle and infuse the art of poetry, spoken. We will also be celebrating what would have been Ronald “RonnieMan” Johnson’s 29th birthday by gathering with his family to demand justice, demand the case be reopened and to lift up his story.

Join Dorothy Holmes, the mother of Ronald “RonnieMan” Johnson, who was killed by CPD in 2014, leaving behind 5 beautiful kids, for a party at RonnieMan Park. The family is working to officially rename the park in his honor. Let’s fill it with love and community, for all the families who’ve lost loved ones and are missing fathers due to racist police violence, terror and brutality.

Join us as we honor Ronald “Ronnieman” Johnson’s life on October 12th, exactly one year since he was killed by CPD detective George Hernandez. Join us as we refuse to allow his death to be silenced and as we stand with his mother Dorothy Holmes, in her fight for justice. Join us as we demand the release of the dash-cam video showing his murder. Join us as we call his name, as we remember and celebrate his life and as we stand side by side with his mother, and his loved ones in their fight for justice.
